Eid

Our Busy Little Bees came together to celebrate Eid—a special holiday recognized around the world as a time of joy, gratitude, togetherness, and new beginnings 🌙✨

Each classroom took time to read a story to help introduce the meaning behind the celebration in a child-friendly way, sparking conversations about kindness, community, and celebration across cultures. The students then expressed their creativity by making their very own moon and star crafts using paper plates—symbols often seen during this time

St. Patrick's Day and Miss Emily's Birthday featuring Silly McGilly!

Our school was filled with excitement, creativity, and a whole lot of green as we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day together!

All week long, our classrooms had a very special (and silly!) visitor—Silly McGilly! 🍀 He traveled from class to class bringing laughter, surprises, and a little bit of mischief as students followed along with his story and adventures throughout the week. The anticipation of what he would do next made the celebration even more magical!

Our Busy Little Bees put their imaginations to work designing and building leprechaun traps—hoping to catch a little bit of magic (and maybe some luck too!). Classrooms were buzzing as students also participated in a scavenger hunt puzzle game, exploring symbols and learning fun historical facts behind St. Patrick’s Day traditions in a hands-on, meaningful way.

To make the day even more special, we celebrated Miss Emily’s birthday schoolwide! 🎉 The love from our students and staff made it a truly unforgettable moment, and we were so happy to celebrate together as one big family.

Holi

Our Busy Little Bees celebrated Holi, the beautiful Hindu festival known as the Festival of Colors, Love, and Spring!

Throughout the day, our students learned about the meaning and traditions of Holi by reading stories and exploring colorful powder during Small Group time. Then the excitement truly began! We gathered in the front of the school where our front yard transformed into a burst of color as students tossed powder into the air, danced, laughed, and celebrated together.

Families were invited to watch the celebration, and we were so thrilled by the amazing turnout of parents who came to share in this joyful moment with us.

At Busy Little Bees, our staff always bring an “all in” spirit to every school-wide celebration, helping create magical experiences that our students will remember.

A special thank you to Paul Rocheny of Rocheny Photography for capturing the beautiful moments from our colorful celebration!

Read Across America Week

It was an incredible week celebrating the joy of reading together! Throughout Read Across America Week, our classrooms were filled with imagination, laughter, and the magic that only a good story can bring.

Each day had its own special theme, from dressing as our favorite book characters, wearing silly hats, showing off our class colors, becoming superheroes, and ending the week cozy in our pajamas with a good book.

There is something so meaningful about children seeing the special people in their lives step into their classroom to read to them. Moments like these strengthen the connection between home and school and show our students just how valued reading truly is.

To all 40 of our volunteers, thank you for helping us make this week so special. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm helped create memories that our Busy Little Bees will carry with them long after the week is over.
