We celebrated Autism Awareness Month by blowing bubbles together in the playground with a dance party 💙🫧 Each year, this day holds a special place in our hearts thanks to Miss Peggy, whose passion for autism awareness shines so brightly. From the bubbles to the take-home goodies, she generously sponsors this entire event creating a moment our children and families look forward to year after year. This year felt even more special as our staff always wears blue, which happens to be this year’s Buddy Baseball program shirts, giving us a chance to give back to an amazing local program. We are lucky enough to have a student at our school who is a Buddy Baseball athlete.
We had a blast and finished the celebration with ice pops for Miss Peggy’s birthday. Thank you Miss Peggy for giving back on your birthday in such a special way!
Our Busy Little Bees got their hands dirty in the best way possible as they celebrated and connected with the world around them. Each child became a gardener for the day by starting at the soil station, where they carefully used shovels to fill their pots. They then made their way to the seed station, planting flower seeds into their soil and gently mixing it together with their sticks, fully immersed in the process. At the final stop, the water station, they gave their plants the hydration they needed to begin their journey to grow.
But this was just the beginning…
Our students will continue to nurture and care for their plants each day at school, learning firsthand what it means to be responsible for something living, all leading up to a very special occasion that we’re keeping top-secret for now.
Our little learners got creative using wooden eggs to create their very own papier-mâché masterpieces, bringing art and culture together in a way that was both fun and engaging. Through a thoughtful read-aloud, students were introduced to the traditions and meaning behind Orthodox Easter, sparking curiosity and conversation in each classroom.
And of course, no celebration is complete without a sweet treat so our friends enjoyed some delicious homemade cookies to top off the day!
Happy Passover to all who celebrate!
Our friends explored the traditions of Passover in a hands-on and meaningful way. The children had so much fun creating their very own matzah men, using their creativity to bring this special symbol to life! We also had the opportunity to taste matzah together—trying it with butter and jelly—which sparked lots of curiosity, conversation, and smiles around the table.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate! Before break, our Busy Little Bees had the sweetest time celebrating together with a special visit from the Easter Bunny and an exciting egg hunt around the school! Wishing all of our families a beautiful holiday filled with love, happiness, and time with those who matter most.
