Our Busy Little Bees celebrated Autism Awareness by blowing bubbles on our lawn together as a school during outdoor time with Bumble as our special guest! Then we enjoyed some ice pops to celebrate Miss Peggy's birthday followed by a dance party. We have had a really great month full of celebrating and embracing our differences!
Our bees learned about Orthodox Easter and made their own paper-mâché wooden eggs. They read a poem, and some classes even went on a letter link egg hunt. We wish everyone who celebrates a Happy Easter!
Our busy little bees celebrated Earth Day outside filling pots with dirt, planting seeds, and watering their soil. We are so excited to see them bloom! Our classes also read a story and learned about the importance of loving our planet and doing our part to keep it clean!
A huge shoutout to one of our parents, Mr. Will, for setting up the Home Depot Workshop for our children! They donated 100 toolboxes, paint, aprons, and hammers! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this day so special.
Our bees had their Spring photos taken by Rocheny Photography and their very own visit from the Easter bunny with 500 eggs delivered! During Read Aloud time we read about the Easter tradition and then learned about the Easter Bunny. What a fun day!
Our students learned all about Passover! They read books, made their own Matzah Men and some classes even got to try Matzah! We are wishing all who celebrate a very happy Passover!
For the last day of Autism Awareness Spirit week, we had a Pokémon Day! Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokémon, has Autism. He used his unique perspective to create a World of Pokémon. Thank you to all our students and parents for their participation in our themes for Week of the Young Child. We had a blast celebrating!
Day four of our Autism Awareness Spirit Week was dedicated to dressing like our passion. It was wonderful to see all of the kids dressed up in career themed outfits, especially while celebrating careers all week long! We always say that the future of the world is in our school, and we got to see just how bright it would really be!
Day three of our Autism Awareness Spirit Week was "Be An Individual-Wacky Hair Wednesday". Our students and their parents were so creative in their execution! They loved seeing all their teachers and classmates with silly hair!
Day two of our Autism Spirit Week, Team Sports Day (Together Everyone Accomplishes More)! It was a great day showing off our favorite sports teams! Maybe we need some Busy Little Bees jerseys in the future...
We kicked off our Autism Awareness Spirit Week with Tye Dye supporting the idea that we are all blended together. We made the theme schedule long before Buddy Baseball released their shirt colors, and when we found out it was Tye Dye we were so excited to support them too!
